The Best Oil Cooler for Your Harley
Custom-built with aircraft-quality materials, cooling your oil by at least 35 degrees
The OilBud™ Oil Cooler Temperature Idle Test
The OilBud™ acts like a heat sink, which doesn’t require airflow to work well in stop-and-go traffic. See how OilBud’s™ superior cooling performance works in Bud’s idle test!
Key takeaways:
• An oil change was necessary after excessive temps the first day.
• This test fried his two-year-old battery, so he had to replace it.
• It shows an 80-85 degree difference with an OilBud™ and without.

OilBud™ Passes the Temperature Test
Bud conducted temperature testing before and after installing the OilBud™ Oil Cooler.
The OilBud™ Oil Cooler Shotgun Durability Test
OilBud™ Oil Cooler shot with a 12-gauge shotgun with both barrels still tests at 150 psi.
OilBud™ Oil Cooler Takes a Beating
The impact does not restrict the passageways or pierce the OilBud™ Oil Cooler surface.
What Makes OilBud™ the Best Oil Cooler on the Market
-
Temperature
Protect your bike with 35-degree cooler running temperatures. The OilBud™ keeps your engine within preferred operating temperatures.

-
Quality
Inspired by aircraft technology and materials, the OilBud™ is built with 6061-T6 machined aluminum, using Teflon-lined braided stainless steel hoses.
-
Aesthetic
The hidden minimalist design makes the OilBud™ virtually undetectable, so you don’t have to sacrifice sleek lines and the design of your bike’s style.
Who Has Time to Break Down?
-
Engines Run Hotter
Today's environmental regulations require bikes that run on leaner fuel mixtures, causing your engine to run hotter. If you overlook your engine, it gets hot enough to break down. Oil is your engine's lifeblood, and keeping it at cool operating temperatures is crucial.
-
Don't Waste Your Time or Money
Save your time without stopping to wait for your oil to cool down, and spend more time on the road. Breakdowns cost you extra work, wasted money, and time away from riding. Save yourself from the actual cost of letting your engine get too hot!
Meet Bud
Bud Clarke, the owner of Bud's Biker Parts, wasn't content to let oil temps on his 2005 Harley Softail run at 250°F (newer Harleys up to 300°F) and risk engine trouble. After working with experimental aircraft, he understood the significance of regulating oil temps; you cannot just pull over and cool down! One day, a thought struck him: If the oil cooler Bud designed for a turbo-charged airplane could cool oil temperatures by 100°F, certainly, he could create something for his Softail Harley Davidson. And that he did!
The OilBud™ oil cooler is inspired by aircraft technology and built with aircraft-quality materials, braided stainless hoses, 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, and welded header tank assembly. The temperature regulator starts to open when oil temps hit 170°F and fully opens at 190° F. Temperature differentials from the cold to the hot side of the cooler have measured between 35°-45°F.
